Minimize Potential Downtime
ClearPath recognizes the importance of continuous connectivity within a business network environment. Downtime translates into lost sales and productivity. Depending upon your threshold for acceptable down time, two solutions are available to meet your network “always on” connectivity requirements.
In those situations where even a five minute period of network security or connectivity lapse would be considered catastrophic, a second SNAP VPN appliance should be purchased for each location. This second device will be a “hot” unit, ready to be plugged in should a service interruption occur. All new appliances are automatically programmed with a stored profile from ClearPath’s Network Operations Center. This stored profile will enable the “hot” unit to automatically synch up with the identical network security and connectivity settings as the disabled unit.
For those instances where a next business day replacement replacement device will be an acceptable solution, ClearPath has created the SNAP Swap program whereby a new unit will be sent by UPS directly to the end user location for immediate replacement. This program may be purchased as an add-on service with the SNAP VPN product. The process to follow is simple:

Once a service disruption is discovered, place a call into ClearPath’s Network Operations Center (see Contact Us) open 24 x 7

Obtain an RMA number and provide the correct shipping address and contact information

For all RMA’s numbers received by NOON Pacific Standard Time a replacement device will be shipped to arrive the next business day. All calls and RMA’s received after noon Pacific will receive hardware on the second business day

Return the malfunctioning unit to ClearPath Networks via the most convenient, traceable shipping service
The SNAP Swap program is available for customer purchase on a one or three year term basis. For those requiring an “on-site” hot replacement unit, these may be purchased as a second unit at MSRP pricing.
